What Are Family Dues?
Family dues are contributions that family members make in order to cover the costs of a family reunion. These dues are important because they help to ensure that all expenses, such as venue rental, food, and activities, are covered. By everyone pitching in, it shows a sense of unity and responsibility within the family. Additionally, paying family dues can make the reunion more enjoyable for everyone, as it allows for more activities and better accommodations. Therefore, it is essential for all family members to contribute their fair share in order to make the family reunion a success.
Fort Family Reunion Dues FAQs
Why do we have dues?
In the past, there are usually a few members of the family who have subsidized the cost of reunions by "chipping in" large amounts of money to fill deficits. That model has proven to no longer be sustainable.
Why should I pay dues? What's the benefit?
We are introducing annual family dues to help support the growing cost of the reunion. Paying your dues will help ensure the continued legacy, success, and fun of the Fort Family Reunion. Due paying family members will be eligible for discounted family reunion bundle rates.
What will dues be used for?
Family Dues will be used to cover reunion operating expenses such as website hosting, facilities rental fees, welcome bags, incidentals, etc. Family Dues will not be used to cover lodging, travel, or other ancillary cost associated with attending the family reunion.
I didn't pay dues, can I still attend the reunion?
Yes, non-due paying family members (and friends) may still attend the reunion. However, they will have to pay a higher bundle rate than due-paying family (and friends) members.
